Offering Compassion to our Difficult Emotions
— (MST, UTC-07) — (MST, UTC-07)
People often mistake burnout as solely a personal problem, implying it's a result of one's poor life choices or lack of work-life #balance. Yet, it's more complex than that. In my practice, I emphasize that effective #mindfulness techniques offer an invaluable tool for managing intense #emotions without causing #exhaustion. These techniques help individuals cultivate #resilience, bolster ##mental health, and stave off #burnout by teaching them to acknowledge their emotions, not suppress or overexert themselves. Join me on Nov 28th at 9:30 A.M. MST for a FREE Meditation Practice on Sitting with Difficult Emotions. Difficult Emotions are difficult because they are hard to sit with. When they arise, we try to deny them, run away from them, or try to repress them. In this guided practice, we will use transcendental meditation to sit with difficult emotions through mindfulness with verbal encounters with these emotions. The participants will initiate a healing journey to deal with difficult emotions including anger, resentment, shame, guilt, regret, and acceptance of what is happening in your life now. They will get a better sense of what's going on inside them right now when these emotions arise. Bring a glass of water, tissues, a journal, and a pen. Join me on Nov 28th at 9:30 A.M.
